The Lake Macquarie Mayor’s Prayer Evening was established on the 6 November 2019 by Mayor Kay Fraser and Lake Macquarie ministers. The evening reflects the character and place of Lake Macquarie. It is a relaxed evening where people meet and make friends as they gather to pray God’s blessing over the city and it’s people. The proceeds of the event are given to a local charity. Thanks to sponsors and the generosity of donors on the evening, since the event commenced $68,673 has been donated to Lake Macquarie charities.

Each year a local Lake Macquarie charity is chosen to be the beneficiary of the event. To date nearly $70,000 has been donated.
